Does Simply Grace offer online counseling sessions?
Yes. We offer video sessions to clients who prefer online to in-person appointments. We have clients who use both in house and internet sessions during the tenure of the counseling process. You can call us to schedule an appointment.
Does Simply Grace provide couple’s counseling?
Yes, we do! We have a unique approach for couples counseling for marriage and pre-marriage. We can assist you with a wide variety of issues in order to improve the quality of your relationship.
What can I expect during the intake session?
The initial assessment is designed for you to share the initial reason(s) for wanting counseling. In this first session, the focus is getting to know your counselor and your counselor getting to know you. The counselor will share our counseling process and the desired benefits if you decide to move forward. We will assist you in setting goals if needed. Ideally, one will leave the session informed of a plan for counseling. New clients can expect to go through the informed consent/intake paperwork along with answering questions regarding biological, psychological, and social information.
What if I don’t know or have any goals when beginning counseling?
Our job as a counselor is to help you explore what is holding you back and help you to define your own goals. Sometimes you know you want something different but cannot describe it. If this is the case, we are here to help you.
What are the benefits of counseling?
Counseling allows one a safe place to explore, process, and work through your past and present in order to create a better future. Some general goals of counseling are:
– Learning how to manage or let go of difficult emotion(s)
– Processing through difficult past or present situations
– Helping establish healthy boundaries; balancing life’s priorities
– Establishing a clear vision of where you are going and how to get there
– Ideally, finding your inner strength and healing from pain and suffering
How is Simply Grace different from other counseling practices?
Simply Grace offers individual and couple’s counseling. Some distinctions are as follows:
– We are a 501c3 Nonprofit Charity.
– We do not charge for our services; we ask for a donation (suggested 90.00 per hour session).
– We have a unique holistic approach to counseling (Read more).
– Individual sessions may include a counselor and practitioner.
– We employ energy psychology methods with practical spirituality.
Our sessions last normally about 55 minutes; sometimes up to 2 hours depending on the need.
Are there any risks involved with counseling?
Risks involved may include: Feelings of fatigue or a heightened state of sensitivity after a session; yet, overall, feeling more alive. We suggest clients engage in self-care practices following a session as well as keep their immune systems elevated.
If I move to another state, can I continue working with my counselor?
Yes, if you move, we can continue via internet counseling or periodic in person extended sessions (2-3 hours in length) or a combination of both.
Does Simply Grace offer psychiatric services like medication management?
No, we do not; however, we can work in conjunction with a psychiatrist. The psychiatrists would provide an evaluation to determine if medication would benefit the client and Simply Grace would provide counseling services.
Does Simply Grace offer child therapy?
No, not at this time.
Does Simply Grace accept insurance?
It is possible to get reimbursed from your insurance company; however, it is rare due to the spiritual nature of our organization and services.
